FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Littlefield, AZ | On October 13, in a routine patrol, deputies took note of a silver sedan crossing over the solid white line and subsequently repositioning itself back into its designated lane in the northbound section of Interstate 15 near MM4, at approximately 9:45 PM. The deputies observed the vehicle swerving two more times, following which they executed a records check revealing suspended registration and no insurance.

In consequence, A traffic stop was initiated during which the vehicle was driven out of the highway. As they approached, the deputies noticed the passengers manifesting suspicious behavior by moving promptly inside the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Brandon Behrle, 28, and Erica Shipley, 36, both of Littlefield, and Chelsea Wiley, 30, of Mesquite, NV.

While waiting for Behrle’s identification, deputies observed a glass pipe hidden in Shipley’s waistband and requested her to exit the vehicle. Ambiguously, the driver and the backseat passenger were also vacated from the vehicle.

A subsequent probable cause search commenced, resulting in the discovery of a hidden compartment behind the vehicle’s stereo system. This compartment contained over a pound of methamphetamine. The extent of the search was widened, unearthing three grams of heroin hidden in the back seat, one fentanyl pill, and a series of items indicating drug use.

Arrests were made in abundance. The trio, Behrle, Shipley, Wiley, were apprehended on multiple felonies that include Dangerous Drug Possession, Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, Transportation of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, and Drug Paraphernalia Possession. Furthermore, Shipley and Wiley were subsequently charged with additional counts of Narcotic Drug Possession, also a felony.
