Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies are continuing their investigation into human remains located in
Yucca in December 2022. Deputies located the remains amongst a large pile of debris wrapped in a tarp.
The remains appeared to be those of an adult male, but identification was not able to be made at the scene.
The deceased was conveyed to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and identity of
the male is still unknown.

The following clothing and jewelry were found on the unidentified victim in this case. The boots are brown in
color “Durango Rebel” men’s boot size 11-11 1⁄2, the shirt is a PFG (Professional Fishing Gear) t-shirt which
was dark in color, and blue jeans size 39W and 34L. The victim was also wearing a silver link-style
necklace, a silver ring, and a silver watch with a metal style band (unknown brand). A Bic style lighter was
located with a novelty cover of a cell phone with “Fishing is calling you”. The victim also had a tattoo of the
name Chase, with the date of 5/13/?? (last two numbers were illegible).

The victim is described as being between 6′-6’4″ tall, between 200-220 pounds, and estimated to be in his
late 40’s- early 50’s at the time of his death. Anyone with information about the possible identity of the victim
is encouraged to contact the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at 928-753-0753 ext. 4288
and speak to Detective Williams.

ORIGINAL 12/05/2022: HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION- YUCCA
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are currently investigating a suspected homicide. On Sunday
(12/4) at 11:36 AM, Deputies responded to a call of human remains located in a remote desert area in

Yucca near Alamo Rd. and Boriana Mine Rd. The reporting party advised he had been out riding his side-
by-side in the desert when he located the remains.

Deputies arrived on scene and observed a large pile of debris. Upon closer inspection, Deputies located the
remains amongst the debris wrapped in a tarp. The remains appeared to be those of an adult male, but
identification was not able to be made. The deceased was transferred into the custody of the Mohave
County Medical Examiner’s Office to conduct an autopsy to determine cause of death and potential
identification.
