LAUGHLIN–The Aquarius Casino Resort kicked off the Boys & Girls Clubs “Give for Kids” Campaign by donating $10,000 to the annual fundraiser.
The “Give for Kids” annual campaign is one in which the Board of Directors reaches out to friends, family and business peers within the community asking them to consider making a donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs, said Cris Robinson, marketing manager for the Aquarius.
Generated funds from this event are unrestricted and can be utilized for utilities, payroll, liability insurance and general operating costs of doing business, Robinson added.
The 2018 campaign goal has been set at $80,000.
Aquarius Casino Resort General Manager Sean Hammond presented Autumn Boyle-Robinson, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs, a check for $10,000 on April 20.
“We are so grateful for this amazing donation from Aquarius” Boyle-Robinson said. “This will truly kick off the “Give for Kids” campaign! We are serving more and more children every month and summer is our peak season.”
Hammond, who is also on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs, has challenged other organizations, businesses, and individuals within the Laughlin community to match the generous donation.
Aquarius has made this donation every year for the past 11 years in conjunction with the Golden Entertainment Community Connections. Golden Entertainment Community Connections is made up of management and team members that give back to the community through volunteers and service projects.
“Whether it is one company giving $10,000, a few companies giving a couple thousand dollars each, or 10,000 people giving $1 a piece, I challenge everyone in this community to help make a difference in the lives of our youth. Together we can change future.”
