Bullhead City Fire Department Medic Receives “Heroes with Heart” Award

LAS VEGAS–Bullhead City Fire Department medic Brian Abeyta (far right) was honored Friday night with the “Heroes with Heart” award during a ceremony held in Las Vegas.

Bullhead Fire spokeswoman Lori Viles said the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) awarded Abeyta for his outstanding efforts for going above and beyond during a crisis involving a mother and her young child.

The Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of Southern Nevada, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that those who are emotionally traumatized in emergency situations receive the assistance they need.
