BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – November 25, 2025 – The Bullhead City Police Department arrested four juveniles after detectives located a handgun, alcohol, and marijuana during a traffic stop.
On Saturday, November 22 at around 1 a.m., GIITEM (Arizona State Gang Task Force) detectives attempted to stop two vehicles near Rathke and Steiger Drive, an area recently impacted by graffiti activity. Detectives observed the vehicles drive into a dirt lot adjacent to a freshly repainted wall. When the occupants noticed police, both vehicles fled the area and ran a stop sign before turning through several neighborhood streets.
Detectives stopped one of the vehicles, a white Hyundai Santa Fe, on Steiger Drive. Four male juveniles were inside. While contacting the occupants, detectives saw a handgun in plain view on the rear floorboard within reach of all individuals in the vehicle. The juveniles were detained, and a loaded Smith & Wesson .380 handgun was recovered. Officers also located open containers of alcohol in the vehicle and a small amount of marijuana inside the center console.
All four male juveniles were taken into custody and transported to the Bullhead City Police Department for interviews. During interviews, police learned that one juvenile recently wrote graffiti on at least five electrical boxes throughout the city. All four juveniles (ages 16, 16, 17, 17) were booked into Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center in Kingman and charged with misconduct involving weapons and minor in possession of alcohol.
This case remains under investigation.
