Bullhead City, Ariz. – August 14, 2026 – The Bullhead City Police Department arrested Jorge Esteban Basurto Garibay, 31, of Bullhead City, for hindering prosecution in connection with the July 18 homicide investigation. Detectives have been searching for Garibay since the July 18 shooting on Sea Spray Drive. According to reports, Garibay hindered the homicide investigation by driving homicide suspect Christopher Pratt and concealing him from police.

On August 13, detectives received information that Garibay was at a residence in the 1600 block of Palma Circle. At approximately 6 p.m., Bullhead City Police executed a search warrant at the residence with assistance from the SWAT team. Garibay was taken into custody and later booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

Pratt was arrested on July 31 for homicide. The homicide victim, 43-year-old Manuel Sauceda Medrano of Mohave Valley, died on July 22 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, from complications related to his injuries. Detectives are continuing to follow up with other individuals who reportedly hindered the investigation.
