Kingman, AZ (Nov 14, 2025) — Charles Black has officially announced his candidacy for Kingman City Council in the 2026 election, pledging to bring transparency, fiscal accountability, and responsible growth to the community. Black, a longtime Kingman resident, Army veteran, and community volunteer, says his campaign is focused on practical solutions that strengthen Kingman without raising taxes.

“Kingman doesn’t have a revenue problem—it has a spending problem,” Black said. “My goal is to fix our streets, fund public safety, and cut waste so every dollar works for the people.”

Key Priorities

Streets & Infrastructure:
Make roads, lighting, and drainage a top priority before non-essential projects and ensure new development pays its fair share.

Public Safety:
Support data-driven patrol expansion, community policing, and practical crime prevention tools—without new taxes.

Youth & Families:
Give Kingman’s next generation a voice. Expand beyond sports to include leadership, arts, technology, and community service programs. Evolve the Youth Advisory Council into a citywide engagement initiative that reflects what teens truly want.

Fiscal Responsibility & Responsible Growth:
Conduct audits, pause low-impact spending, and redirect savings into roads, safety, and youth programs. Promote growth that respects Kingman’s character and infrastructure capacity. Every dollar should be transparent and accountable.

Restoring Trust:
