DRUGS-KINGMAN: Richard Lee Bass, 50 of Golden Valley, was arrested April 13 by Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of felony dangerous drug violation, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and two warrants. Deputies reportedly observed a white van travelling south on Beale Street that had a cracked windshield and recognized the driver, later identified as Bass, from previous contacts. Deputies knew Bass to have active arrest warrants and conducted a traffic stop. Bass was removed from vehicle and reportedly admitted to deputies there were glass pipes inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed three glass pipes and two baggies containing methamphetamine. Bass taken to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
DRUGS/ SHOPLIFTING–MOHAVE VALLEY: Robert Anthony Downing, 37 of Parker, was arrested on April 13 by Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of felony dangerous drug possession, misdemeanor shoplifting, and misdemeanor criminal damage. Deputies responded to a business in the 5200 block of Highway 95 in reference to a suspicious person. Loss prevention staff observed a male subject, later identified as Downing, reportedly enter the restroom of the business with unpurchased merchandise hidden under his shirt. When staff entered the restroom, they could hear the packaging being opened. Downing exited the restroom and staff located the packaging in the trash. Deputies made contact with Downing inside the store, and restrained him. A pat search reportedly revealed a baggie containing .7 grams of methamphetamine and another empty baggie. All unpurchased merchandise was recovered. Downing taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman.
DRUGS-GOLDEN VALLEY–Daniel Patrick Davis, 68 of Golden Valley, was arrested on April 13 by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of dangerous drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession/use of a weapon in a drug offense, and theft/control of stolen property, all felonies. Deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of Hano Road in reference to a drug complaint. Deputies received information that a male subject named “Grandpa Dan” was selling methamphetamine at this address. A male subject answered the door, and when questioned, advised deputies that his roommate was named Dan. The male subject allowed deputies into the residence when a second male subject, later identified as Davis, exited a bedroom. Deputies advised Davis why they were there, and when asked, Davis reportedly advised deputies he had a small amount of methamphetamine in his room. Deputies entered the room and were able to locate methamphetamine on an ashtray and inside a pill bottle, baggies, a scale, and a black handgun. A records check revealed the handgun was listed as stolen out of Las Vegas. Davis was taken to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
DRUGS-KINGMAN–Patrick Ray Junker, 58 of Kingman, was arrested on April 13 by Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs and possession of narcotic drugs for sale, both felonies. Deputies received a call about a male subject reportedly selling heroin and made contact with Junker outside of his residence in the 3900 block of Roosevelt Street. Deputies knew Junker from previous contacts and when asked if he had anything illegal on him, Junker reportedly told deputies he did and removed a baggie from his pocket, which contained approximately 12.5 grams of heroin, which is above the amount for personal use. Junker was taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman.
AGGRAVATED DUI-KINGMAN–Ernie Stephen Morales, 29 of Kingman, was arrested April 14 by Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of aggravated DUI, a felony. Deputies reportedly observed a silver sedan make several traffic violations which led to a traffic stop on Beale Street. The driver was identified as Morales and deputies could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Morales reportedly said he and a friend had been drinking in Laughlin the night before and he was attempting to get home. Field Sobriety tests were conducted and a breath test was completed. Morales was reportedly found to have a blood-alcohol content (BAC) of .175. Morales taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman.
DRUGS-KINGMAN–Christopher Neal Strauss, 49 of Kingman, was arrested April 15 by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both felonies. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a red sedan near Thompson and Powell in Kingman. The driver and passenger were both removed from the vehicle, and the passenger, later identified as Strauss, was reportedly found in possession of a baggie of .7 grams of a white crystal substance. Strauss reportedly admitted to deputies that the substance was methamphetamine. Strauss taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman.
