BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – January 25, 2024 – Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare (ACW) officers are looking for a dog for standard quarantine procedures after a dog attack.

On Wednesday, January 24th, ACW was dispatched to Valley View Medical Center where a 21-year-old female was being treated for bite wounds. She reported that she was walking in the area of Clearwater Drive and Swan Drive at approximately 3:30/ 4 p.m., when a large dog charged at her. The dog knocked her to the ground, and she suffered bites on her arms, face and leg.

The dog is described as a large, long haired black dog, possibly a shepherd.

ACW patrolled the area but have not yet located the dog. If anyone has any information, please call the non-emergency dispatch number at (928) 763-1999, reference report# 24-02354.
