Lake Havasu City Receives Clean Audit Opinion, Highest Level of Distinction

Lake Havasu City is excited to announce that it once again received an unmodified, clean audit opinion on its financial statements for fiscal year 2024, marking another year of strong financial management. This distinction is the highest level of assurance an independent auditor provides, reaffirming the City’s commitment to responsible fiscal stewardship.

The City undergoes an audit annually, ensuring compliance with financial regulations. At the February 25th City Council meeting, a representative from CliftonLarsonAllen, LLP presented the independent audit results, confirming that there were no findings on the financial statements or the federal awards portion of the audit.

The clean audit opinion for fiscal year 2024 underscores Lake Havasu City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining transparency with public funds. “I am very proud of our staff and this notable achievement. Administrative Services Director Jill Olsen and her team’s ongoing commitment to financial integrity and strong track record of clean audits ensures our public resources are handled in a fiscally conservative manner,” says City Manager Jess Knudson.
