At approximately 5:00 p.m. on July 9, 2026, the Lake Havasu City Fire Department (LHCFD) responded to multiple bystander reports of a residential structure fire in the 1400 block of Beefeater Drive, with initial callers reporting flames originating at the rear of the property.

Upon arrival, the first fire company observed heavy smoke and flames extending from the rear of the residence into the interior living spaces and the attic. Five engine companies, a Support Chief, and a Battalion Chief brought the fire under control within 30 minutes. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

One firefighter and one civilian were treated at the scene for minor injuries; no other injuries were reported. The LHCFD Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) responded to the scene to assist with rehabilitation for the working crews. To ensure continuous city coverage during the incident, the Desert Hills Fire Department moved up to assist with subsequent 911 calls.

Crews remained on scene for an additional two hours to conduct salvage and overhaul operations. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
