LAUGHLIN–Cooler weather this weekend should make attending the annual Wings & Wildlife festivities enjoyable for the whole family.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at Pyramid Canyon Park & Trails in Laughlin and is being hosted by the Bureau of Reclamation Lower Colorado River Region.
All ages are encouraged to attend and learn about the various animals and winged creatures that call the high desert their home. There will be kite flying, bird house painting, treasure hunts, a bird walk, bird and animal exhibits and a horse event. Children will receive an activity passport to be stamped at each event station. At the end, the passport will be turned in and the child will receive a grab bag.
Food will available for purchase at the event.
Pyramid Canyon Park & Trails is accessible via the old Davis Dam Road, which is now Pyramid Canyon Drive. It is located off Highway 163, approximately 1.75 miles past the Laughlin Bridge.
