FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ – Mohave Community College Men’s Soccer team “Bighorns” commemorates their inaugural season, ranking second in Division I of the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC). Noteworthy competencies and promising potential are brewing for an exciting August 2025 season, says Men’s Head Coach Camilo Valencia.

Utility players across the board fare for a remarkable presentation of skill and ambition. The season finished with an overall record of 7-6-1 and a conference record of 6-3-1, placing the Bighorns in the second position in Division I ACCAC standings. Trailing only to Arizona Western College, sixth in national rankings, the Bighorns set their sights on a formidable future.

The debut season was riddled with strategic relevance and luminous talent. “We earned second place in the ACCAC, staying ahead of teams with a long history and vast resources. This shows our team was not just a contender but a fun watch,” stated Valencia.

Hailing as some of the strongest contenders in the conference, goalkeeper Pablo Saavedra and Luis Mario Medina held the forefront as the conference’s top scorer for the regular season. Valencia also applauded sophomore players Gabriel Jimenez, Jorge Quintero, Matias Seymour, and Luis Mario Medina.

Despite performing well enough to make the playoffs, the team was ineligible this year due to the NJCAA’s first-year team restriction. However, with an exceptional maiden year, the College anticipates eligibility for the post-season by 2025.

A roster of primarily rookie players offers enduring potency for improvement. Coach Valencia underlined, “They’ll know what to expect, what to do in intense moments, what to do in difficult situations, and how to manage games.”

Appreciative of the robust support received at Firebird Field and across social media platforms, the team aspires to continue augmenting Bullhead City while recruiting top talent.

The Bighorns fully embraced the ACCAC’s challenges, welcoming an intense competition field and wishing all ACCAC teams entering the playoffs the best of luck.
