The Laughlin Boys & Girls Club has launched a new literacy program for 4 & 5 year-olds. The Club is excited to provide an engaging curriculum offering Pre-K children the opportunity to learn and grow in a healthy, stable, and encouraging environment at no cost through the Early Childhood Innovative Literacy Program.

“This is such a wonderful resource for families, not only are we helping prepare the kids for kindergarten, but we re also helping provide care for children in an area that has a huge shortage of child care options. This is a huge win for the community” state Autumn Boyle-Robinson CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River.

“The Clubs typically serve school age children ages 5+, having this opportunity to open our doors for the Pre-K children has been wonderful.” Stated Vanessa Gonzalez the Laughlin Unit Director.

Enrollment assessments are being held by appointment if you are interested in having your child join the program please reach out to schedule. The program currently has space available. The program runs Monday-Friday from 9:00am – 1:00pm and free snack is provided.

In this program the children will gain a strong foundation and will be equipped with social-emotional skills, numeracy, communication, language, and early literacy to give them what they need to start kindergarten. This program boosts self-confidence and independence as well as giving them a head start on their educational journey.
