BARRICADED SUBJECT UPDATE – Eberado Calderon, 47, faces charges of 2 counts of felony flight, failure to register as a sex offender, outstanding misdemeanor warrants and prohibited possessor (felon in possession of firearm).

This morning (4/8) at about 8 am., police attempted a traffic stop on Calderon, who was known to have warrants and was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender. Calderon also fled from the same officer on Wednesday in Golden Valley.

Calderon ran from his vehicle and barricaded himself in a trailer in the Fisherman’s Trailer Lodge in the 400 block of Moser Avenue. A handgun was located on the front seat in his car. SWAT responded and negotiators were in communication with Calderon. At one point, he exited the trailer and attempted to jump a fence. SWAT engaged Calderon with less lethal (sponge round and bean bag), striking Calderon twice and he went back inside the trailer. Communications continued until Calderon finally surrendered without further incident. Calderon received medical attention and will be transported into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman after booking procedures are completed.
