With the Havasu Community Health Foundation Food Bank experiencing a record need for meals right before next week’s Thanksgiving holiday, Inspire The Church on Swanson Avenue is stepping up to collect turkeys.

Our church is feeding 100 families and our list is growing,” Pastor Tim Giles told Radio Central News. “There is an incredible amount of need in Lake Havasu City this year. It’s almost overwhelming.”

As a result, the church is collecting frozen turkeys, through both online donations and in-person drop offs at the church. Businesses, residents and winter visitors can purchase turkeys online at the church’s website Turkeys will be collected Sunday from 9am to 1pm and on Monday from 9am to 12 noon, at Inspire the Church, located at 2139 Swanson Avenue, across from the ASU at Lake Havasu City campus.
