Guy Fieri (the Mayor of #Flavortown!) received the Key to the Las #Vegas Strip from Commissioner Michael Naft. Guy has Las #Vegas roots having attended UNLV, he also has #restaurants here and has become one of the biggest names in the culinary world.

As good as he is with food, he’s also an expert in giving and sharing. He is involved in numerous charitable and community efforts around the country. In fact, the key presentation took place during a special event at the Caesars Forum. Guy and his Guy Fieri Foundation along with Caesars Entertainment Inc hosted a celebration honoring more than one thousand of our local veterans and first responders with a day of #appreciation, Flavortown food prize giveaways and a lot of picture taking.

Guy decided he wanted to do an event to thank these wonderful people – he gave staff a whole three weeks to pull it together There may have been some stress – but they did and everyone who attended had a great time.

Congratulations – well done Guy and your team and thank you being a part of our community.
