On Monday (9/5) at approximately 10:46 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were advised of a suicide at the jail. The inmate, who was booked into the facility on Saturday (9/3), was pronounced deceased at the facility by medical personnel. The inmate was alone in a single cell that was currently being used for quarantine. The inmate was found inside the cell with bedding tied around their neck. Life saving measures were attempted by staff inside the cell, but were unsuccessful. The name of the inmate is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
