*** AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON ***
The Kingman Police Department reports that at approximately 2:15 am on Sunday, October 13, 2024, Henry F. Morales, a 57-year-old resident of Kingman, was arrested on felony charges. These charges include Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Domestic Violence, Disorderly Conduct Involving a Weapon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and the misdemeanor charge of Discharging a Firearm Within City Limits.
Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence located in the 900 block of Beverly Ave, involving a male subject firing a gun. Witnesses reported that Morales discharged his firearm out the front door amidst a dispute. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Despite initial resistance, Morales was taken into custody without further incident. The ensuing investigation led to the discovery of a .22 caliber handgun, spent shell casings, and various items of drug paraphernalia. Morales was subsequently booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
*** UNLAWFUL FLIGHT, RESISTING ARREST, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, ETC. ***
On the same day, around 6:30pm, officers from Kingman Police Department arrested Gabriel N. Loop, 34, also a Kingman resident, on charges of Unlawful Flight from Law Enforcement, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Prohibited Possession of Firearm, and a misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear.
Officers received a report of a shoplift from a business on the 3300 block of Stockton Hill Rd, with the suspect fleeing on a motorcycle. The motorcycle was then identified several blocks away from the crime scene. Loop, the motorcycle rider, initially escaped officers’ pursuit. He was later located at a gas station on the 3200 block of E. Andy Devine Ave, where officers confronted Loop.
Loop resisted arrest and attempted to flee on foot, leading to officers deploying a Taser. He was found in possession of a concealed firearm, drug paraphernalia, and a warrant for his arrest from the Kingman Justice Court for failure to appear on unrelated charges. Consequently, Loop, who has a previous felony conviction and is legally prohibited from firearm possession, was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
