**Lake Havasu City Police Department Increases Traffic and DUI Enforcement for Halloween**

LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ – In response to the upcoming Halloween festivities, the Lake Havasu City Police Department will be intensifying traffic and DUI enforcement efforts. The augmented measures will commence on Thursday, October 31, and continue through to Friday, November 1, 2024.

The enforcement operations are made possible by a grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. This grant will enable the police department to dedicate supplementary resources towards ensuring everyone’s safety during these holiday celebrations.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department takes this opportunity to remind motorists about the importance of celebrating responsibly. Motorists are urged to strictly adhere to Arizona’s traffic and vehicle regulations, exercise caution for pedestrians crossing the roadways, and drive at moderated speeds in areas with high pedestrian traffic.

The LHCPD remains committed to the safety and wellbeing of all residents and visitors during the Halloween celebrations, and appreciates everyone’s cooperation in upholding the safety norms set by the state.

For any further details or inquiries, please contact Public Information Officer, Sergeant Kyle Ridgway, at (928) 855-1171.
