BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., July 2, 2024 – The City of Bullhead City invites everyone to witness Rockets Over the River, a spectacular fireworks display set to light up the sky on Thursday, July 4th, 2024 around 9:30PM. The City encourages everyone to leave fireworks to the professionals this year, as all fireworks have the potential to cause injuries and start wildfires, especially with strict fire regulations in place.
The event, presented by the Laughlin Tourism Commission, will feature a Zambelli Fireworks show launched from the parking lot across the river from the Colorado Belle, providing great viewing opportunities from Community Park, Laughlin resorts, and areas all around the north neighborhoods of Bullhead City. Traffic along SR-95 between 7th St and Home Depot will be restricted during the fireworks show. This patriotic display will be choreographed to a mix of festive music aired via Murphy Broadcasting 104.9 KISS FM.
The City urges everyone to have a safe Fourth of July holiday. Remember that the use of fireworks carries significant risks to human health, the desert landscape, and animal welfare. The use of fireworks in Bullhead City is strictly regulated, and Bullhead City Police will enforce existing laws.
The public is urged to familiarize themselves with which fireworks are permissible, where they are allowed, and when. No fireworks are ever allowed inside the Colorado River Nature Center. Only fireworks classified as “Safe and Sane” are permissible in Arizona. Any fireworks that shoot up into the air or explode are illegal. Permissible fireworks can only be used June 24 – July 6, December 24 – January 3, and May 4 – May 6. On allowable days, hours of use are limited to 8:01 a.m. to 10:59 p.m. Hours of use are expanded from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on December 31 through January 1 and July 4 through July 5, respectively.
