KINGMAN—The second suspect wanted in connection to an armed robbery in Kingman has been captured.
Francis William Allison, 58, of Kingman, has been charged with two counts Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Armed Robbery, Aggravated Robbery and Misconduct Involving Weapons.
Allison allegedly was the second suspect who robbed a Dollar General store late Sunday night in the 2100 block of East Andy Devine Road.
Another suspect—whose identity hasn’t been released—reportedly opened fire upon two Kingman Police officers responding to the robbery call. The suspect sustained a gunshot wound to the face and was later taken to a local hospital.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said Allison’s arrest occurred Tuesday when detectives noticed him walking in the 3500 block of Lum Avenue.
Allison reportedly fled into a residence, barricaded himself inside for about 10 minutes before exiting the residence and surrendering himself to detectives, said Mortensen.
Mortensen concluded by saying that future charges may be filed, as investigators believe that Allison was involved in several similar crimes that occurred in Mohave County.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and Kingman Police Department continue to work on this active investigation.
