MOHAVE COUNTY—The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for the Colorado River area from now until 8 p.m. Sunday.

Communities under the watch include Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Lake Havasu City, Laughlin, Nev., and Needles, Calif.

Temperatures are expected to be near 110 today. Remember to not leave pets or children in the vehicle.

Avoid excessive outdoor activities and watch for signs of heat exhaustion/heat stroke. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
